Good News for NEET, JEE aspirants! MP Govt to Bear College Fee of Students Scoring Above 75% in 12th Boards

Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the chief minister of Madhya Pradesh, has declared that the state government would henceforth award class 12 pupils with financial rewards in their undergraduate degree if they score more than 75%.

According to the state chief minister's declaration, the state government would now cover the engineering and/or medical college costs of pupils who get more than 75% in their class 12 examinations.

BENEFIT OF THIS SUBSIDY

Subsidies are financial assistance provided by the government to individuals or organizations to reduce the cost of a particular product or service. In the context of education, subsidies can be provided to students to lower the cost of tuition fees or other educational expenses. Some of the benefits of this move by MP government for students are:

  1. IMPROVED ACCESS TO EDUCATION: It will help students from low-income families or disadvantaged backgrounds to afford higher education, which they may not have been able to afford otherwise.
  2. ENCOURAGES STUDENTS TO PURSUE HIGHER EDUCATION: It will motivate students to pursue higher education as they reduce the financial burden of tuition fees and other expenses.
  3. HELPS TO REDUCE THE BURDEN OF STUDENT LOANS: It will help to reduce the amount of student loans that students may have to take to finance their education. This can reduce the burden of student loan debt and improve their financial stability after graduation.
  4. PROMOTES EQUALITY IN EDUCATION: It will help to level the playing field in education by providing financial assistance to students who may not have the means to afford higher education. This can promote equality in education and reduce the gap between students from different socio-economic backgrounds.
  5. BOOSTS THE ECONOMY: It can lead to an increase in the number of educated individuals in the workforce, which can boost the economy and contribute to overall development.

This move by Madhya Pradesh government can have numerous benefits and can help to improve access to education, encourage students to pursue higher education, reduce the burden of student loans, promote equality in education, and boost the economy.

 JEE 2023

JEE stands for Joint Entrance Examination. It is a competitive examination in India for admission to undergraduate engineering and architecture courses at various engineering colleges and institutes in the country. There are two main JEE exams: JEE Main and JEE Advanced.

JEE Main is the more widely-known of the two exams and is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). It is a gateway exam for admission to various National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and other centrally funded technical institutes (CFTIs). It is a computer-based test (CBT) that consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

JEE Advanced, on the other hand, is considered to be more challenging and is conducted by the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). It is the final stage of the JEE examination and is held for admission to the undergraduate programs at the IITs. Only the top candidates from JEE Main are eligible to appear for JEE Advanced. Like JEE Main, JEE Advanced is also a CBT that consists of MCQs in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

Both JEE Main and JEE Advanced are highly competitive exams and are considered to be among the toughest engineering entrance exams in the world. The exams are held annually, usually in the months of April and May.
